Course Information

The objective of REAL ESTATE TRAINERS is to provide quality education to prospective and active Real Estate Professionals. Courses are offered to provide the following:

Pre-License Real Estate Training — In broad terms a real estate pre-license course is designed to aid an aspiring real estate agent in gaining sufficient knowledge to successfully complete their state licensing requirements. Upon completion of this course the student will meet the pre-license educational requirements as set forth by the Arkansas Real Estate Commission and will be able to pass the Real Estate Licensing Exam.

Real Estate Tutoring *new* —  Real Estate Trainers provides this additional service for anyone needing extra review and preperation. For more information contact Carol Waters at 479-271-0034.

Continuing Education will assist active Real Estate Professionals in the successful development of their careers while meeting the Arkansas Real Estate Commission Continuing Education requirements.

Post License training will give the new License the required number of classroom hours needed within the first year after licensing. This course will meet the standards as set forth by the Arkansas Real Estate Commission.

Course Descriptions


Courses are offered throughout the year except on state recognized legal holidays and their associated weekends. REAL ESTATE TRAINERS offers DAY and NIGHT courses and WEEKEND courses to suit your schedule. Check our calendar on this site or call our office for dates and times.

Pre-License Course (60 Hours)
Before getting involved in real estate you will need to get your real estate license. The Pre-License course contains the information required to pass the real estate license exam in Arkansas.  DAY classes start at 9:00 AM and continue until 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday for 10 days. NIGHT Classes start at 5:30 PM and end at 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturdays for a total of 13 days.

Post-License Course (18 Hours )
The Post-License course provides new Licensees with the AREC required 18 classroom hours (course content meets the standards as set forth by the Arkansas Real Estate Commission).

Continuing Education (CE) Courses

CE - 1031 Tax Exchange (6 Hours)
This course provides information regarding tax exchanges and the legal ramifications of using tax exchanges.

CE - Finance (6 Hours)
This course focuses on the development of real estate finance, interest rates, sources of money, primary and secondary money markets, FHA/VA and conventional loan programs, processes and procedures, closing costs, equal credit opportunity acts, and state housing agency.

CE - Property Management (6 Hours)
This course will provide the Licensee with an introduction to property management, planning, manager/owner relations, leases and negotiating, tenant relations, the Fair Housing Act, maintenance, marketing, apartments, office buildings, retail space, etc.


CE - Ethics (6 Hours)

The course provides information required by the National Association of Realtors in regard to the Structure of the Code of Ethics and includes Duties to Clients and Customers, Duties to the Public, and Duties to REALTORS®.

CE - Contracts (6 Hours)

This course focuses on the details within the various contracts that the licensees use in the State of Arkansas. The detailed course will include the elements of a contract, offer and acceptance, the statute of frauds, specific performance and remedies for breach, unauthorized practice of law, commission rules relating to use of adopted forms, and owner disclosure requirements.

CE - Agency (6 Hours)

The course content includes an in-depth look at agency, authority of an agent, termination of agency relationships, fiduciary and other duties of an agent, representation, and disclosure of agency.

CE - Contracts to Closing (6 Hours)

This course provides the licensee with the steps related to managing the buying or selling process from start to finish related to the specific contracts and forms.

CE - Office Policies and Procedures (6 Hours)

Covers the fundamentals of polices and procedures in a real estate firm. Some of the topics covered include guidelines for office financial and human resource management as well as budgeting and business planning.

CE - Broker Agent Responsibility (6 Hours)

This course describes the roles and responsibilities of both the broker and the agent in regard to legal, fiduciary, and operational aspects of the real estate firm and may include discussions on commissions, government regulations and license law violations.


Missouri Salesperson Pre-Exam course – (48 hours)
This course provides a strong foundation for building a successful real estate career in Missouri. The rules and regulations of the Missouri Real Estate Commission and other state-specific laws are covered. This course covers the required topics for the Missouri 48-hour pre-licensing portion of its licensing requirements. Topics include: buyer representation, listing properties, financing, closing costs and much more.

Missouri Real Estate Practice Course (MREP) – (24 hours)
This new Missouri Real Estate Practice course will cover the many topics under the umbrella of Missouri real estate law. Subjects discussed in this course range from the Missouri Broker Disclosure form, listing agreements, residential real estate contracts, and brokerage agreements. Other lessons include those on finance, government and non-government loans, and various broker relationships. This course contains 19 user-friendly units plus a review:

Missouri License Regulations (3 hour elective)
The course is designed to develop your understanding of the Missouri Broker Disclosure Form, Missouri Law, a sales contract, buyer agency and a listing agreement. While the forms may not be exactly the same as those you are using in your market area, we believe they are similar enough to be helpful to all Missouri licensees. You will be viewing several contracts throughout this course.

Missouri - Real Estate Finance Today (6 hour elective)
Real Estate Finance includes an introduction to mortgage financing, principles of conventional mortgage, government loans, special programs, and a rich portion focusing on qualifying the buyer and the property. This course is expressly geared for real estate salespersons and brokers who want to be current on the principles of Finance in their current work environment.

Missouri – Do You Know The Law? (3 hour core)
This course covers the basics of Federal Fair Housing laws, and then cuts right to the chase with practical, real-world situations, challenges and examples. It concludes with clear-cut exegesis on risk reduction in Fair Housing, and how real estate professionals can face the very real challenges of Fair Housing issues in the daily routine of business.
